Hammond Group is proud to announce the launch of their AE-EFB series of negative expanders. This latest addition to the Hammond Advanced Expander product line offers numerous industry-proven benefits in Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) applications.
Currently, battery manufacturers are faced with the dilemma wherein increasing dynamic charge acceptance (DCA) and partial state of charge (PSoC) cycle life comes with the tradeoff of increased gassing and water loss. With the AE-EFB series of expanders, our customers meet the demanding performance requirements of EFB batteries with significantly reduced water loss.
“The automobile OEMs continue to set tougher requirements for enhanced flooded batteries to increase battery life and performance,” says Dr. Marvin Ho, Hammond’s CTO. “Reducing water loss while maintaining high charge acceptance has been the challenge. Our researchers have developed additives utilizing new materials to meet these requirements. Enhanced flooded battery research will continue, as we know there are more gains that we can achieve with our products in the near future.”
